Spiritual Life

Your daddy and I have been really proud of you, especially about your spiritual life. Last night, before we all went to bed, you recited your first memory verse ever... Psalm 23:1. It was funny how at 2 and a half years old that you even remember that the "one" in the text doesn't have the "t" sound at the end of the word, but that the "want" in "I shall not want" has the "t" ending sound. Pretty amazing!

We also get very excited when we started to notice that you never eat your meals without folding your hands, with eyes close and bowing your head to pray- be it at home or at other people's homes or at the restaurants when we eat out. It's a pretty good witness from a toddler like you. Many people have noticed that already and it makes them think about God. One of our neighbors even told other people about you and your faithfulness in praying before your meals. The news has spread around quickly. Amazing!

Now, this is more exciting... as a toddler, you are discipling another toddler. Cy, who is your close friend, has learned to pray before his meals. Well, he can only say "In Jesus' name, Amen." because he is not as chatty as you are... but that's really something already. Not only that, Cy has learned to sing your songs of praise to Jesus. He heard you sang, "How wonderful, how beautiful, name above every name exalted on high... How wonderful, how beautiful, Jesus your name, name about every name Jesus!" many times that he has also memorized it and started singing it. Oh, sweetheart! You're quite the leader. And we want you to know that you have brought so much joy to us!
